Dr. Karen Guttieri
Senior Fellow, Cyber Policy and Strategy
Dr. Karen Guttieri is a cyber strategy and resilience specialist focused on power projection, critical infrastructure, and the information environment. She draws on experience across the Army Cyber Institute, Air University, the Naval Postgraduate School, and Stanford University to help organizations interpret and address complex sociotechnical challenges.
Alexis L. Jacobs
University Researcher
Alexis L. Jacobs is now JANOS’ University Researcher, previously serving as an Intern with Janos LLC. She is a cybersecurity engineer student at the University of Delaware. Ms. Jacobs and Dr. Janosek have published “Cyber Privacy For Teenagers; Small Tips and Tricks to Enhance Security” together in 2024, and they presented together in 2025 on “My Lying Eyes” about AI and digital twins at The International Cyber Risk conference in Washington DC in 2025.
Colin Clark
Research Intern
Colin Clark is a Computer Science student at Boston College with a focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technology. As an intern at Janos LLC, he explores the intersection of technology, cyber policy, and law, with particular interest in balancing innovation, governance, and security in an evolving digital landscape.

James J. Janosek
Chief Operating Officer
James Janosek serves as Chief Operating Officer of Janos LLC, overseeing core operational functions including contracting, legal affairs, policy development, and finance. A former Naval Officer and graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree, and from The George Washington University School of Law a Juris Doctor. James brings a strong record of leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management, leveraging his experience to strengthen operational excellence and drive the company’s continued growth.
